Session on Intellectual Histories from the Global South with the University of Oxford's Prof Miles Larmer

12 April 2022

On the 4th of April, our Graduate School Global Social and Thought students attended a fantastic session on ‘Living for the City: Social Change & Knowledge Production in the Central African Copperbelt’ delivered by Prof Miles Larmer from the University of Oxford.

This session is part of a series linking the University of St Andrews to Oxford and Edinburgh around the theme of Intellectual Histories from the Global South. Dr Milinda Banerjee (School of History and Global Social Political Thought Programme Director), the host for this event, added that the Graduate School GSPT programme is the pivot for this link-up.
